Prayer Times and Holy Mass

The oratory ought to be what it is called (a place of prayer), and nothing else is to be done or stored there. (RB, 52,1)

Times for prayer

…and let us stand to sing the psalms in such a way that our minds are in harmony with our voices. (RB, 19,7)

The Liturgy of the Hours, also called the Divine Office, dictates the rhythm of the monastic daily life and takes place five times a day. The Benedictine nuns of Müstair meet to pray together, recite the rosary and celebrate the Holy Mass.

From June to September the Liturgy of the Hours is celebrated in the convent church and is open to the public. From October to May it is celebrated in the Chapel of the Rosary and therefore only accessible to guests of the convent.
